Current situation

As in the previous year, the renewed increase in the number of drug-related deaths is due in particular to the deaths of long-term users.

Compared to the previous year, the number of drug-related crime cases fell by 5 percent.

A decline in the number of cases can be seen in consumption offenses, illicit trafficking and smuggling of narcotics, as well as the illicit importation of narcotics in not small quantities.

The online trade and postal shipment of narcotics will increase sharply in 2022; almost all types of narcotics will be offered for worldwide shipment.
