The card stores the first name, surname, date of birth, gender, insurance number and the address of the NRW State Office for Central Police Services and billing data/information.
The health insurance card is valid without a photograph, as this is not the electronic health card (eGK) issued to people with statutory health insurance. As a so-called "other cost bearer", the NRW police cannot issue an eGK. Nevertheless, the issued health insurance card can be read by a reader in doctors' surgeries.
