Unknown woman hits Herford woman and flees

(jd) A traffic accident occurred yesterday (17.2.) at 7.30 a.m. in the Hansastraße area. A 17-year-old girl from Herford was walking on the right-hand sidewalk in the direction of Mindener Straße. A previously unknown, approximately 60-year-old female driver intended to turn onto Hansastraße. The woman had to stop for traffic reasons and was standing with her vehicle partly on the sidewalk. The pedestrian wanted to pass the vehicle when the car suddenly started and hit the 17-year-old. She was slightly injured in the accident. The unknown woman, who has shoulder-length light-colored hair, continued on her way. The Herford police traffic commissioner's office has taken over the investigation and is asking the driver involved in the accident and witnesses to contact them on 05221/8880.
