Unknown person takes dental gold

(jd) On Friday morning (05.09.), the employee of a dental practice received a call from a supposed aid organization. In the phone call, she was told that the arrangements for the donation boxes for collecting dental gold had changed and that a courier would therefore collect the box available at the practice later. At around 2.30 p.m., a man around 22-25 years old and 180 cm tall appeared at the dental practice on Kurfürstenstraße and said that he wanted to collect the donation box with the dental gold on behalf of the aid organization. As he gave a code that he had previously given in the telephone call, the employee handed over the donation box. It was only later that it became apparent that this was a scam. The stranger has brown eyes and short dark hair. The donation box contained dental gold worth around 500 euros. Witnesses who can provide information about the stranger or who observed something conspicuous in Kurfürstenstraße on Friday afternoon are asked to call 05221/8880.
