(jd) On Wednesday (24.09), the traffic service of the Herford police, in cooperation with the forces of the motorcycle group, carried out special checks on turning behavior. Throughout the day, the officers monitored road users, especially HGVs, throughout the district. They monitored junctions, intersections and traffic circles that are considered particularly dangerous because they have crossing aids for pedestrians and cyclists. Ten fines were imposed for speeding violations, five further turning violations were detected and two driving license violations and three violations for unauthorized cell phone use were also recorded. Road users in the district must also continue to be prepared for the fact that priority traffic checks will take place unannounced.
