(jd) A 23-year-old man from Spenge was driving his Ford on Ohsener Straße towards Melle at 4.20 a.m. on Sunday (16.2.). He lost control of his vehicle and veered off the road to the right. There he first collided with a delineator post before the vehicle came to a standstill in the ditch. A 43-year-old woman from Spenger and a 39-year-old woman from Enger, who were also in the Ford, were slightly injured in the accident and were taken to a nearby hospital by an ambulance. The driver was seriously injured and also had to be taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The officers called found clear signs of alcohol consumption in the man, so a blood sample was taken. The 23-year-old's driving license was confiscated. Ohsener Straße remained closed for the duration of the accident investigation. The damage to property amounts to around 10,000 euros.
