Traffic accident at an intersection

(jd) A traffic accident occurred on Hansastrasse at 8.15 p.m. on Saturday (March 1). An 18-year-old from Espelkamp was driving his BMW on Hansastraße in the direction of Bünde. At a set of traffic lights, he intended to turn left onto Holser Straße. When the traffic lights turned green for him, he drove into the intersection. A 27-year-old man from Spenger was driving his Opel in the opposite direction. There was a collision between the two road users. Both drivers and their passengers, an 18-year-old from Rödinghausen and a 21-year-old from Spenger, were slightly injured by the force of the collision. They were all treated at the scene by the emergency services. The 21-year-old man from Spenger, who was in the Opel at the time of the accident, was taken to hospital by ambulance. Property damage of around 20,000 euros was caused.
