(jd) On Friday (5 July), a 17-year-old from Vlotho was riding his motorcycle on Vahrenbrinkstraße in the direction of Wilhelmstraße at 11.05 pm. In the area of a right-hand bend, a deer suddenly crossed the road from the right. The 17-year-old swerved to the left to avoid the animal, but lost control of his motorcycle in the process. He crashed onto the road and then skidded a few meters across the road. The Vlotho man suffered minor injuries as a result of the fall and was taken to hospital by an ambulance. The material damage to the motorcycle is in the three-digit range. The Vlotho man's legal guardian was informed of the accident.
