On Tuesday morning (23.7.), a senior citizen parked her vehicle in the parking lot of the district court in Herford. At around 10.00 a.m., the injured party was in the vehicle and was approached by a previously unknown male person from the passenger side. Due to communication difficulties, the stranger approached from the driver's side, whereupon the injured party rolled down the window a little. Suddenly and unexpectedly, the man opened the rear vehicle door and reached into the back seat. He was able to grab a purse from the handbag and run off in an unknown direction. The purse was a red leather wallet containing various personal papers and cash. The fleeing perpetrator is described as

- Approx. 45 years old - About 170-175cm tall - Short hair - Slim build - Black clothing - Speaking broken German
