Theft in a café

Geilenkirchen - A 67-year-old woman from Wassenberg visited a café on Konrad-Adenauer-Straße on Monday (September 10). She sat down in the outside area of the café and placed her handbag on the ground next to her. At around 3.30 p.m., a man approached her table and engaged her in conversation. Shortly afterwards, he left in the direction of the market. A few minutes later, the woman from Wassenberg realized that her handbag, which contained cash, identity papers and keys, was missing. The unknown man was 20 to 30 years old, about 170 to 175 centimeters tall, had black frizzy hair and appeared to be from the south. He spoke German, but was difficult to understand.
