(jd) At 7.00 a.m. yesterday (February 18), a 43-year-old man noticed that his Nissan had been damaged and that previously unknown suspects had smashed the rear window of the vehicle with an object. He had parked the company vehicle at the Alter Markt the previous day at around 5.00 pm. Several high-priced tools were stolen from the vehicle. These included a drill, rivet screwdriver, two cordless screwdrivers, an impact drill and laser measuring equipment. The total damage was in the four-figure range. The Herford criminal investigation department has taken over the investigation and is asking any witnesses who observed anything unusual in Herford city center on Tuesday night to contact them on 05221/8880.
