(jd) Yesterday (17.9.) in the early hours of the morning, a man from Löhn discovered that previously unknown perpetrators had opened his Opel. He had parked the vehicle on the side of the Helmsberg road at around 10 p.m. the previous evening. The unknown perpetrator or perpetrators entered the car during the night and searched the glove compartment, among other things. They stole several high-priced tools from inside the vehicle, including a jigsaw, an impact drill and several Makita cordless screwdrivers with chargers and batteries as well as a Bosch cordless flex with charger. Herford police are asking any witnesses who observed anything unusual between Monday evening and 5.30 a.m. on Tuesday to contact them on 05221/8880 or at one of the police stations.
