Both fan zones were already at full capacity after the end of the Dutch fan walk. After these zones were closed, individual fans climbed over the fences and entered the public viewing events without being checked. The individuals remained undetected.
During the match, there were physical confrontations between Dutch fans from Rotterdam and Utrecht (so-called risk fans) in several places. The police then took five Utrecht fans into custody.
Three suspects, aged between 31 and 52, sold electronic tickets in the Strobelallee area for the soccer match. They received the money for the sale, but tickets that were supposedly purchased were not sent. Police officers arrested them in the act. The special requirements for pre-trial detention were not met. The criminal police are investigating fraud.
Due to the high volume of people and the influx to Dortmund's main station, the police regulated traffic and closed Königswall for a short time.
