Special operational situation

The Herford police are currently dealing with a special emergency situation following a violent altercation on Hansastrasse in front of the police station. According to initial assessments, the violent dispute between two large families originated in a court hearing that took place today at the Bielefeld district court and culminated in front of the office building on Hansastrasse. The police have now been able to put an end to the dispute with a large contingent of officers. Investigations into the background to the case are ongoing.
