Heinsberg-Hülhoven - At around 3.35 pm on Thursday (22 May), a train driver noticed two women standing in the middle of the track bed on the section of track behind Oberbruch station in the direction of Dremmen. He immediately initiated emergency braking and activated the train's horn. Shortly before a collision, the people jumped off the tracks and fled through a wooded area and, according to initial findings, continued on an e-scooter along a dirt track in the direction of the Im Hofbruch road to Grebben. According to witness descriptions, one of the girls was around 14 to 17 years old, about 155 centimeters tall and dressed in black jeans and a black hoodie. Her companion was about 170 centimeters tall, had long blonde hair and frameless glasses. She was wearing blue jeans and a black coat that almost reached the floor.
The police are now looking for further witnesses who can provide information on the identity of the girls.
