(jd) Witnesses called the police at around 1.05 a.m. because two women got rowdy in a pub on the Alter Markt on Sunday night (30.6.). On site, the officers asked the two women to leave the bar. They did not comply with this request. A female officer then managed to escort one of the suspects, a 32-year-old woman from Herford, out. Meanwhile, her companion, a 37-year-old woman from Herford, initially became verbally aggressive towards the officers and then lashed out several times. In the further course of the incident, she then hit a female officer so that the officers tried to calm the woman down. At this moment, the 32-year-old woman came back into the bar and attacked the officers from behind. She then also resisted the police measures several times. One police officer was slightly injured by the women's resistance. The two Herford women were taken to the Herford police station, where a breath alcohol test was clearly positive. The public prosecutor's office then ordered a blood sample to be taken from both Herford women. Both were taken into police custody to prevent further offenses.
