(jd) A 62-year-old woman from Herford was driving her Seat on Bielefelder Straße in the direction of Herford yesterday (26.6.) at 12.40 pm. When a traffic light there showed a red light for her, the woman stopped her vehicle. Behind her was a 57-year-old woman from Hiddenhausen, who also braked her Kia. Immediately behind her was a 19-year-old woman from Herford driving a Peugeot. Presumably due to a medical emergency, she did not brake her car and hit the Kia in front. This in turn was pushed into the Seat. All three women were injured by the force of the collision and were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulance. Property damage of around 5,000 euros was caused. Bielefelder Straße was completely closed in the direction of Herford for the duration of the accident investigation.
