Motorcyclist injured in traffic accident

(jd) On Friday (9.5.) at 5.09 p.m., a traffic accident occurred on Mindener Straße. An unknown person was driving his Seat on Buhnstraße in the direction of Mindener Straße. At the same time, a 32-year-old man from Minden was riding his motorcycle in the direction of Holtrup. When the Seat driver drove onto Buhnstraße, there was a collision with the Minden driver, who had the right of way. Due to the force of the collision, the driver's motorcycle was thrown against a Citroen parked in an adjacent parking lot. The person responsible for the accident left the scene without fulfilling his obligations. Witnesses looked after the motorcyclist, who was injured in the accident, until the emergency services arrived. He was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. According to initial investigations by the traffic police, the driver is a 22-year-old man from Duisburg. Further investigations are ongoing. In total, property damage of around 13,000 euros was caused.
