The police tracked down the alleged perpetrators through extensive investigations: On July 4, 2023 at around 6:15 p.m., four men aged between 19 and 23 who were involved in the crime had met in Moers on the Dresdener Ring.

The men took some of the drugs out of the trunk of a car in bags. They then wanted to take the narcotics to the apartment of one of the men involved in Moers.

A special police unit was able to arrest the four men during transportation. During a search of another apartment in Kamp-Lintfort, the police were able to seize more drugs and money.

The main suspect is said to be a 23-year-old man from Moers. Among other things, he is accused of illicit trafficking in narcotics in not insignificant quantities. All others involved come from Moers and Solingen.

A judge at Moers district court ordered three of the men involved in the crime to be remanded in custody. A 19-year-old alleged perpetrator was released on (reporting) conditions.

The police are still investigating the background to the crime.
