The employee of a supermarket on Lambernweg noticed a man pushing a shopping cart full of coffee beans outside yesterday (20.6.) at 4.45 pm. He had not paid for the coffee beans, worth several hundred euros, beforehand. The employee ran outside and saw that the man and another man were putting the coffee beans into a Fiat. When other employees arrived, the men fled on foot, leaving the goods behind in the car. The police officers called to the scene launched a manhunt and came across a 19-year-old who matched the description of the witnesses. He was taken into police custody in Herford to prevent further crimes. The officers seized further goods in the Fiat, which are also suspected to have been stolen.
