Kia stößt gegen Pedelec - EN

(jd) A 48-year-old woman from Bielefeld was driving her Kia on the road "Alter Postweg" in the direction of Wertherstraße yesterday (24.6.) at 5.55 pm. At the same time, an 81-year-old woman from Spenger approached the junction coming from Enger on her pedelec on the cycle path there. When the woman from Bielefeld noticed the pedelec rider, she braked her car at the last moment, but was already halfway along the cycle path. The 81-year-old then swerved out of the way, but her bike still grazed the front license plate holder of the Kia, causing her to lose control of her pedelec and fall. The woman was injured as a result of the fall and was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance after receiving initial medical treatment at the scene.
