(um) On Saturday (08.02.), during the day, a 28-year-old woman parked her VW Polo on the Dreyener corner in the parking spaces there. She parked the car there at around 10:25 am. After returning to the vehicle at around 3 p.m. in the afternoon, she noticed considerable damage to the left side of the vehicle. The damage is estimated at several thousand euros. A patrol car crew recorded the hit-and-run at the scene and established that a previously unknown driver had damaged the car. The perpetrator drove away from the scene of the accident without bothering to settle the claim. The police are asking the public for help in this case and would like to hear from any witnesses. Information about the crime should be sent to the traffic commissioner's office in Herford on 05221-8880.
