(jd) A 21-year-old woman from Kirchlengern was driving her e-scooter on Schloßstraße in the direction of Ulenburger Buchenallee yesterday (July 1) at 1:00 pm. She was approached by an older, red Seat, which was driving in the middle of the road and kept drifting into the 21-year-old's lane. There, the unidentified man touched the e-scooter rider, who then lost control of her scooter and first crashed onto the road and then into the ditch there. The woman was injured in the accident and had to be taken to hospital for treatment of her injuries. The driver of the Seat involved in the accident, who was around 30 to 40 years old, continued his journey. The police are asking the person involved in the accident or witnesses to contact them on 05221/8880.
