(um) Herford police are investigating a particularly serious case of theft that took place at the weekend. In a warehouse in Uffeln on Möllberger Straße, previously unknown perpetrators stole several rolls of valuable copper wire, interchangeable wires and copper wires filled in boxes. The burglars also managed to take various tools such as drills, cordless screwdrivers, angle grinders and measuring devices. The loot must have been removed using special logistics such as forklift trucks and lorries, as the loot weighs over 2 tons. The damage is estimated to be at least 70,000 euros. The police are asking the public for help in this case. The crime was committed between early afternoon on Saturday and around 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. Information on the crime is requested from the Herford Criminal Investigation Department on 05221-8880 or any other police station.
