(jd) Attentive witnesses noticed a group of people rioting on Deichtorwall on Sunday night (13.4.). When police officers arrived on the scene a few minutes later, at around 11.20 pm, they found the group in question, consisting of four males, all of whom had already made police appearances. They were three 21-year-olds and one 23-year-old, who were reluctant to follow the officers' instructions. During the investigation, a 21-year-old man from Hiddenhausen then repeatedly defied the police officers' instructions. He then became verbally aggressive and, among other things, threw a lit cigarette. A breath alcohol test carried out on the spot was positive. The man was taken to the Herford police station, where a blood sample was taken and he was taken into police custody.
