Glasses stolen from supermarket

(jd) The employee of a supermarket on Tribenstraße noticed a man taking several glasses from a shelf and putting them in his rucksack at 10.35 a.m. on Wednesday (10.7.). He then went to a cash register to pay for a coffee he had previously taken from a refrigerated shelf. As the unknown man walked towards the exit, he was approached by the employee about the glasses. The man immediately ran towards the exit, but was detained there by two store employees. The man, a 40-year-old from Soltau, was taken to an office room until the police officers arrived. He was taken to the Herford police station, where he was able to leave after the police measures had been completed.
