(jd) An 83-year-old woman from Bünde withdrew money from an ATM at her local bank in Bahnhofstraße at around 1.55 p.m. on Tuesday (June 3). Meanwhile, she noticed a man unknown to her watching her. After she then walked towards the station with her walking frame, the woman was approached by two girls aged around eight to ten. A little later, a woman came along and put her jacket over the rollator and engaged the woman in conversation. The three people then walked off in an unknown direction. However, the Bünder woman realized that her purse, which was in a handbag on the rollator, had been stolen and filed a complaint. In addition to personal identification documents and bank cards, a three-digit sum of cash was missing. Witnesses who can provide information about the incident are asked to contact the Herford police on 05221/8880.
