On Monday afternoon (29.7.), police officers were called to a traffic accident on Spradower Weg in Kirchlengern. When the officers arrived, a BMW motorcycle was lying damaged on the road. The 41-year-old rider from Kirchlengern received medical treatment from the emergency services. According to those involved in the accident, a 25-year-old man from Holzminden was driving his MG along Spradower Weg in the direction of Vahrenkampstraße. At house number 94, he wanted to drive onto the property there. He overlooked the oncoming motorcyclist, resulting in a collision. The 41-year-old was thrown to the ground and suffered injuries to his upper body. He was taken to hospital in Bünde by ambulance. Both vehicles were so badly damaged by the collision that they were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away from the scene of the accident.
