An employee of the company was able to observe five people loading various cable drums into a van via a surveillance camera. The employee immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene with reinforcements from Soest and Warstein.

The perpetrators fled, but one of them was initially caught and arrested by a police officer. Three other perpetrators were found during the search in the street "Auf den Thränen" and were also arrested.

The perpetrators are four Romanians aged 16, 19, 20 and 28. All four were provisionally arrested and are to be brought before a magistrate today. The vehicle used in the crime has been seized.

The fifth person is currently still on the run despite the deployment of a police helicopter and police dogs. The investigation into this is ongoing.
