An elderly couple found an advertisement in their letterbox for a company that advertised, among other things, the cleaning of patio roofs.

The people contacted the company last week. As a result, last Thursday (June 27) at around 9 a.m., a previously unknown man claiming to be the boss of the company appeared at the Heinsbergers' home. The boss quoted a low four-figure sum for the cleaning and demanded cash payment in advance. After the elderly people had paid the money demanded, the spokesman dropped off two other unknown men at the home address, who then began the cleaning.

According to witnesses, he drove a dark BMW 3 Series with an out-of-town license plate.

At some point, a fourth man is said to have been in the house, who asked the couple to show him some jewelry, then took some jewelry and put a small amount of money in cash on the table. At around 12 noon, all the men left the house on Sootstraße and drove away in the BMW and a light-colored van.

The two men who carried out the work were around 18 to 20 years old and slim. One of the suspects was black-haired and had a southern appearance. His companion had light-colored hair and looked European.
