(hd) Late on Monday evening (01.09.2025), a patrol car crew noticed a vehicle on the Westfalenring in Enger. The gray Honda was driving in the direction of Bielefeld at 11:45 pm. The driver apparently had difficulty judging his speed correctly. At times the vehicle was apparently traveling too fast, at other times conspicuously slowly. The car was stopped and checked by the officers. At the wheel was a 34-year-old man from Bielefeld who was clearly under the influence of alcohol. A breath test confirmed this impression. A blood sample was then taken from the driver. His driver's license was confiscated. The 34-year-old is now facing criminal proceedings for drunk driving.
