Cyclist falls after collision

In Vlotho on Monday afternoon, a 41-year-old cyclist from Vlotho had to be treated as an outpatient by emergency services after a collision with the driver of a Toyota Landcruiser. The cyclist was riding on the cycle path on Mindener Straße coming from Holtrup in the direction of Vlotho. At the traffic circle with Höferweg, he intended to cycle through the traffic circle. At the same time, a 51-year-old Toyota driver intended to leave the traffic circle in the direction of house number 23. The driver from Porta Westfalica overlooked the cyclist, who was on the cycle path in the traffic circle at the time. A collision occurred, causing the cyclist from Vlotho to fall to the ground and sustain minor injuries. Both vehicles sustained minor material damage of approx. 300EUR.
