Cyclist attacks Herford man

(jd) Last Tuesday (01.07.), a 38-year-old man from Hiddenhaus was driving his Mercedes on Goebenstraße in the direction of Hansastraße. At the same time, a cyclist was riding there who, according to the 38-year-old, was not using the cycle path properly. To signal to the unknown man that he should use the cycle path, the Mercedes driver honked his horn. The unknown man then kicked the Mercedes, causing material damage to the vehicle. In order to clarify the situation, the 38-year-old left his vehicle and the stranger suddenly punched him in the face. An attentive witness arrived and tried to mediate the situation. The stranger then fled. He is said to be around 40 to 60 years old and to have an Eastern European appearance.
