Hückelhoven-Ratheim - On Sunday evening (June 30), there was a traffic accident on Heerstraße involving a cyclist, who then fled the scene of the accident and is now being sought by the police.
At around 6.20 p.m., a woman was driving her car on Heerstraße in the direction of Wassenberg. At the Tankcenter, a cyclist was riding parallel on the sidewalk on the right-hand side and, when the car driver had almost passed him, turned left onto the road. There he hit the rear right side of the car and fell. The 43-year-old woman from Wassenberg stopped to help the man. However, according to her, he got back on his bike and rode off in the direction of Wallstraße.
He was 16 to 21 years old, slim and had short dark hair and a dark complexion.
The police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information about the identity of the cyclist.
