On Thursday afternoon (22.08), a 53-year-old driver from Spenge, who was driving his company car (BMW 3 Series), took the exit from the A30 motorway and turned left onto Hansastrasse. In doing so, he disregarded the right of way of a 46-year-old woman from Lübbecke, who was driving her car along Hansastrasse in the direction of Rödinghausen at around 4.30 pm. The BMW collided with the 46-year-old's Audi A4 in the middle of the junction. Both drivers sustained minor injuries and were taken to Lukas Hospital by ambulance. Both vehicles were severely damaged. They were no longer roadworthy and were towed away. The material damage is estimated at around 10,000 euros.
