Burglary in elementary school

(jd) The employee of a security service noticed an open window at an elementary school in Eichholzstraße at around 11.25 pm on Sunday (16.2.). The window showed clear signs of having been forced open. The man then noticed another window showing similar signs of forced entry and informed the police. The unknown perpetrator or perpetrators opened a cupboard in the staff room - the extent to which they searched other rooms and whether they managed to take stolen goods from the school is still under investigation. The property damage is in the three-digit range. The Herford criminal investigation department has taken over the investigation and is asking any witnesses who observed anything unusual between Saturday evening and Sunday evening to contact them on 05221/8880.
