Burglary in an apartment

(jd) A woman from Herford returned to her apartment on the street Vorm Holzschlinge after a short absence on Tuesday (20.5.) at around 10.40 pm. She discovered that her bedroom had been ransacked by previously unknown perpetrators. An initial search revealed that several pieces of jewelry with a value in the three-digit range had been stolen. According to initial investigations, the unknown perpetrator or perpetrators entered the apartment through a bedroom window. The criminal investigation department has taken over the investigation and is asking possible witnesses who noticed anything unusual between 3.00 p.m. and 10.40 p.m. yesterday to contact them on 05221/8880.
