Burglary

(jd) At 9.30 p.m. yesterday (20.2.), a man from Herford noticed a break-in at his house on Höpker-Aschoff-Weg. The unknown perpetrator or perpetrators took advantage of the owner's absence to force their way into the house via a patio door and a window. They apparently searched several rooms and opened cupboards and drawers in search of stolen goods. An exact list of possible stolen goods is still being compiled. The property damage is in the three-digit range. The criminal investigation department has taken over the investigation and is asking possible witnesses who observed anything conspicuous between 5 p.m. on Sunday and Thursday evening to call 05221/8880.
