On Pickertweg in Löhne, there were three break-ins last night (July 16) between 11.30 p.m. and 7.30 a.m. in various adjoining properties. On a property with double buildings, the unknown perpetrators broke into the garage through a window at the rear. The garage was apparently searched, but no stolen goods were taken. A tool shed on the same property was also attacked. This was entered through an access door, but no stolen property was taken. A high-pressure cleaner stored there was initially taken, but left elsewhere on the property.
By damaging a patio door, the perpetrators gained access to another private house next door. While the residents were in another part of the building, a bunch of keys with vehicle keys, a petrol-colored Wellenstyn jacket and black shoes (brand on) were stolen from the front of the house in addition to a work bag with pedicure items (worth approx. 600EUR). According to initial investigations, a black VW Polo was stolen with the vehicle keys. The Polo with the registration number HF-ML 198 was parked on a gravelled area to the side of the building. The vehicle also contained a wallet with the victim's personal papers.
The criminal investigation department has started an investigation and is asking witnesses who can provide further information about the break-ins to come forward. Information can be obtained by calling 05221-8880.
