(jd) Previously unknown suspects forcibly entered the administrative wing of an educational institution on Südfeldstraße between 5 p.m. on Monday and 8 a.m. on Tuesday (2 July). An employee noticed an open side door on Tuesday morning and informed the police. The officers who arrived discovered that the unknown perpetrator or perpetrators had forced a window in order to gain access to the building. They then broke open a door to the office wing and rummaged through various cupboards and drawers. They also spread a chlorine-like liquid on the furniture. In total, they stole a small four-figure sum of cash before leaving the building through the side door. The criminal investigation department is asking witnesses who saw anything conspicuous in the area of Südfeldstraße during the aforementioned period to call 05221/8880 or report it to one of the police stations.
