(jd) On Wednesday (26.6.), a traffic accident occurred at 0.05 am on Dobergstraße. A previously unknown woman apparently wanted to drive her Kia into a parking lot. However, she drove onto a grass verge and collided with a railing. Attentive witnesses observed how the woman then tried to drive her car around the railing, but failed. As they approached the car, the witnesses noticed signs of alcohol consumption and informed the police. The officers who arrived at the scene carried out a breath alcohol test, which was clearly positive. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital to have a blood sample taken. She was banned from driving vehicles requiring a license and the officers confiscated her driver's license. Property damage of around 5,000 euros was caused.
