Attempted pickpocketing

(jd) A man from Kirchlengern was approached by a man unknown to him in the street Im Mühlenkamp on Wednesday afternoon (June 4). The man got out of a black car in which there were two other men. The stranger was showing the Kirchlenger man something on his smartphone when a witness suddenly drew his attention. The witness had seen from a house that the stranger was trying to steal the man's wallet. Disturbed by the attentive witness, the unknown man, who was about 180 cm tall, got back into the car and left the scene in the direction of Elsestraße. He was wearing a black cap, black jeans and a blue jacket. Witnesses who can provide information about the incident are asked to call 05221/8880.
