(jd) On Saturday (March 1) at around 9.15 p.m., a previously unknown person hit a Mazda on the premises of a car dealership on Blankensteinstraße. The police officers called to the scene found the car on a nearby grass verge. There was a man in the vehicle who was carrying tools for opening and bypassing a vehicle. He is a 45-year-old man with no fixed address. A check of the man in the police systems revealed that he had already made several police appearances in the past. The 48-year-old was taken into custody in Herford. As there were grounds for his arrest, he was brought before a judge, who issued a pre-trial detention order.
