Alkoholisiert mit dem Auto unterwegs

Aware witnesses noticed a VW parked on Mindener Straße at 3.30 a.m. last night (21.6.). The driver of the vehicle was outside her car and gave the witnesses the impression of being heavily intoxicated. The witnesses took the woman's car keys and informed the police. The officers who arrived noticed fresh accident marks on the VW, which amounted to several hundred euros in damage. During the investigation, the driver, a 28-year-old woman from Herford, was uncooperative and verbally aggressive towards the officers. As it was suspected that the woman was under the influence of alcohol, she was taken to the Herford police station, where a blood sample was taken. After she had already become verbally aggressive, the 28-year-old then kicked a female officer several times, but she was able to fend off the kicks and remained unharmed. The woman also behaved aggressively at the police station and again resisted when a blood sample was taken. The woman was taken to central police custody to prevent further offenses.
