Accident with e-scooter

(jd) A traffic accident occurred on Seelbornstraße at around 3.26 p.m. yesterday (26.5.). According to initial investigations, a 45-year-old man from Enger was driving an e-scooter in the direction of Kesselstraße. He lost control of his e-scooter and then crashed onto the road. Witnesses who passed the scene of the accident a short time later provided first aid until the emergency services arrived. The 45-year-old sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident and was flown to hospital by a rescue helicopter. Seelbornstrasse remained closed for the duration of the accident investigation. An investigation into the insurance circumstances of the e-scooter is still ongoing. The Herford police traffic commissioner's office has taken over the investigation into the course of the accident.
