Accident while turning

(jd) A traffic accident occurred on Bünder Straße at around 4.55 p.m. on Saturday (15.2.). A 55-year-old man from Herford was riding his bicycle on the cycle path in the direction of Bünde. At the same time, an 81-year-old man from Kirchlengern was driving his Seat in the direction of Herford and intended to turn left at the junction with Löhner Straße. This resulted in a collision with the oncoming cyclist. The cyclist initially collided with the car and was thrown from there onto the road. The 55-year-old was slightly injured in the accident and had to be taken to hospital by an ambulance. Property damage of around 2,000 euros was caused.
