Arrive safely: Checking coaches and drivers before school trips

The Düsseldorf police offer to inform the traffic service of planned excursions or school trips so that the coach and driver can be checked as far as possible.
The traffic service of traffic inspection 1 is responsible for this.

Because we also want you to arrive safely.

This check is free of charge. However, please understand that we cannot guarantee any checks, as specially trained staff are only available to a limited extent.

Please register the departure in good time, ideally at least two weeks before the departure date, and consult with the teaching staff and/or other parents if necessary, so that the trip is only registered once by the school or the organizer.
Registrations for bus departures are not to be made by telephone, but only in writing by e-mail to

vi1-vd.duesseldorf [at] polizei.nrw.de

We require the following information:

the exact place of departure (town, zip code, street, house number) the exact departure date and time of the bus (date, time)
If possible, the name of the bus company operating the trip (not the tour operator)
