The Selm police property is located in the district of Bork and has been used for police purposes since 1951. The headquarters of the LAFP NRW is home to the authority management and the management staff as well as

• Division 3 (Leadership, Management, Technology and E-Government Training Division)
• Department 4 (Bachelor's training)
• Department 5 (National Head Office Personnel Affairs, Basic Issues Training)
• Central Department.

At the Selm site, practical training content is provided for police officer candidates for the higher police enforcement service. In addition to training, numerous further training events and seminars, the LAFP NRW is a professionally and scientifically recognized training provider as well as a quality and customer-oriented service provider for the NRW police and organizer of many national and international conferences and congresses in the field of police work.
