At the end of June/beginning of July, colleagues from the road safety advisory service held a three-day seminar for people over the age of 60 in the town of Hückelhoven. Fifteen participants signed up and enjoyed an eventful time.

On the first day, all participants were given theoretical information on new road traffic regulations, possible assistance systems for vehicles, drug interactions and the possibility of compensating for physical limitations.

On the second day, the participants learned how to drive their own car through a slalom course and perform an emergency stop at 30 km/h. Furthermore, the frictional resistance and centrifugal forces of a vehicle were illustrated in practical exercises and the correct seating position in one's own vehicle was discussed.

On the third day, everything revolved around the bicycle or pedelec. Legal innovations for cyclists were discussed and a bicycle training session was held.

All participants were grateful for the new insights they gained and the exciting shared experiences.

Our road safety advisors will continue to offer such seminars in the future. We will provide you with all information on future seminars on our website as soon as the dates have been set.
