The (press and) public relations work at Dortmund Police Headquarters is aimed at the general public and members of the police force. It serves to give citizens a credible image of the police as an institution and is intended to strengthen confidence in police action. On the other hand, it offers the employees of the authority many services through active support and information. Among other things, the public relations staff are responsible for

• a "uniform public image" (corporate design)
• the creation and maintenance of the internet and intranet pages, the Facebook, X and Google of the Dortmund Police Department
• the creation of internal brochures
• the creation of posters and flyers for official events

• the processing of general inquiries from citizens
• participation and support at numerous events

In addition, the press and public relations staff plan and carry out a large number of other events. They welcome domestic and foreign visitor groups and support film projects, for example.
